Eddie Lopez

Devise short- and long-term goals and plans for our club and lead our board in achieving these goals. Run the board and member meetings. Give support to our board and members. Create committees and appoint committee chairs. (Scholarship committee, Fundraising committee, etc.)

The president may delegate special assignments to the vice president, who also works closely with the Board to carry out the President’s vision and directives. Assisting the President in all activities, fundraisers, tournaments, etc. Run meetings in the President’s absence. Completing any tasks as delegated by the President.

A Secretary is responsible for handling the club’s secretarial and administrative duties. The Secretary typically support the work of the President by managing meetings and correspondence. They provide administrative support to ensure the club’s operations run smoothly. He will assist the President in preparing agendas and provide members with required meeting notices. The secretary also takes minutes at board meetings or designates a person for the task. His role also includes ensuring everyone implements what was agreed at meetings. He will be responsible for all Social Media communications to inform of club activities, events and tournaments as well as posting results of the tournaments. He will assist with producing any needed flyers and messages that inform members about upcoming events and meetings. He will also prepare and maintain board records, such as minutes and committee reports, and ensure the accuracy and security of the records. The secretary is prepared to assume the leadership role when the president and vice president are unavailable.

Treasurer

Gilbert Hernandez

Gilbert has a very critical role in overseeing the general financial management of our Club. He will plan and keep track of budgets within the club, collect membership money, deposit, and keep track of funds, write checks, and provide financial reports regularly to the Board and Members. He will be a financial watchdog, ensuring the protection of funds from any potential misuse by any members of our team. He will also be responsible for reconciling bank statements and managing the cash flow. He will also help with fund raising efforts to better our financial state.

Sergeant -of-Arms

Manuel Landin

A sergeant-at-arms duties center on keeping meetings running smoothly. This can include setting up meeting rooms, attending to guests, enforcing protocol and keeping meetings on track. Speaking up if the meeting drifts off-topic and keeping order during meetings. If the votes are by raised hands, the sergeant-at-arms counts the hands; if the meeting votes by ballot, they distribute, collect and count the ballots.
